Omaha's Gigantic Birthday Cake July 18th, 2004 On Sunday July 18, 2004 Omahans lined up to have a piece of the Omaha's Gigantic Birthday Cake, a 30-foot-by-45-foot marble sheet baked by Hy-Vee stores, in the Qwest Center Lobby. That is after riding an escalator or walked the stairs to upper lever to have an aerial glimpse of the cake and ride the other escalator down. The birthday party were in fall swing at 2:00 pm. see photo at left.
