| Start Scan from IP This specifies the IP address to start scanning from. Each field needs to be an integer from 0 to 255 and leading zeros are not necessary. If these fields and End Scan at IP are empty, it will process Host Name.If these fields are empty, but End Scan at IP is not, it will scan the single host specified in End Scan at IP. This specifies the IP address to end scanning at. Each field needs to be an integer from 0 to 255 and leading zeros are not necessary. If these fields and Start Scan from IP are empty, it will process Host Name. If these fields are empty, but Start Scan from IP is not, it will scan the single host specified in Start Scan from IP. If you have a host you want to scan, but you don't know what its IP address is, leave Start Scan from IP and End Scan at IP and type the host name in Host Name. If either Start Scan from IP or End Scan at IP is not empty, the value in Host Name will be disregarded. You must check this box in order specify the range of ports to scan. It will scan these TCP Ports. You may manually edit these files to have it scan the port you desire. This specifies the Port to start scanning from. This field needs to be an integer from 1 to 99999 and leading zeros are not necessary. If you check Scan Intensity but fail to specify Start Scan from Port, it will default to 1. This specifies the Port to end scanning at. This field needs to be an integer from 1 to 99999 and leading zeros are not necessary. If you check Scan Intensity but fail to specify End Scan at Port, it will default to 1000. If you specify greater value for Start Scan from Port than End Scan at Port it will only scan the port specified in Start Scan from Port. Currently only TCP scan is available TCP: Transmission Control Protocol If you check this box, it will not scan the hosts which have already been scanned before. It will show you the information from the latest scan instead. You can significantly speed up the scan by checking this box the report may not be accurate. If you check this box, it will try to Ping the hosts you are scanning before it scans the ports to determine if the hosts are alive. This can speed up the scan if you are scanning multiple hosts and majority of them are not alive or accessible. If you check this box, you will see the IP address it's currently scanning. Useful when you are scanning multiple hosts. This is an option for List Previously Scanned Hosts and with this you can limit the hosts to display by entering match criteria in the fields. This option will invoke the ping command and display the result on the web. Specify the IP address to ping in Start Scan from IP field, or supply the host name in Host Name field. This oprion will invoke the traceroute command and display the result on the web. Specify the IP address to trace in Start Scan from IP field, or supply the host name in Host Name field. This option will invoke the whois command and display the result on the web. Supply the host name in Host Name field and leave the Start Scan from IP field and End Scan at IP fields. |
