Music Events at Holy Name School

This fall we have several exciting events lined up for our students, including student performance opportunities!

 

Oct.  7^th – Harvest Dinner & Auction

The Fabulous Fifth Graders will be performing for Holy Name’s biggest fundraiser by singing two pieces.  Students should report to the music room by 7:30 p.m. for warm-up.

Oct. 15^th – Gospel on the Green      

The Holy Name Show Choir, Rhythm & Hues, will perform at Turning Point in “Gospel on the Green.”

Nov. 8^th -  UNO Chamber Choir Run Out

UNO Chamber Choir under Dr. Matthew Harden will perform in the Little Gym for the 4^th – 8^th grade and talk about vocal music ensembles.

Nov. 10^th – Hansel & Gretel at the Rose Theater

Grades 5-8^th will attend Opera Omaha’s production of Hansel & Gretel and learn the elements of opera, narrative, plot, setting, etc.

Nov. 17 – Nebraska All State Children’s Choir

Kenidy Dunlap and Christopher Stallworth II represent Holy Name at the Nebraska ll-State Children’s Choir in Lincoln as part of the 75^th Annual Nebraska Music Educators Association Conference.  Christopher Mitchell is alternate to the choir. These students will participate in a day long choir event culminating in a concert at 4:00 p.m. at the University of Nebraska’s Lied Center with guest conductor, John Jacobsen.

Orchestra Moves:

The Orchestra Moves is a program through Carnegie's Link Up program for 4th & 5th grade students to have the opportunity to perform at the Holland with the Omaha Symphony Orchestra. The pieces listed below will be performed at the concert on March 15th at 10 a.m.
