Holy Name Grants

Congratulations to Holy Name School
Winner of the following grants:

Target - 13 grants to finance theater experiences for our students
and two $1,000 for a field trips to Lincoln, NE for grades 4-8 and a trip to Desoto Bend and Fort Atkinson.

Ritonya Buscher Poehling Scholarship Fund to purchase problem solving games, math tools for the classroom, indoor recess equipment, motion detectors and temperature probes for science, multi-cultural literature, finance a kitchen area in the school, purchase pedometers for Physical Education and fund a pond exploration experience at Fontenelle Park.

Nebraska Humanities Council for financing 14 speakers for our school with a broad range of topics including: Cultures of other countries, story telling, music from around the world and Martin Luther King history.

Kiwanis for after school programming

James Semerad for an all-day Health Fair

Papio Resource and Home Depot to fund a butterfly garden for science exploration.

Partnership with Fontenelle Forest for outdoor education for all students.

Beaumont Foundation for a 15 laptop wireless lab, 3 digital cameras,
laser printer, and document projector.

Best Buy grants for funds to purchase a multi-media computer system, digital camera
I-Pods, green screen video and 10 Global Positioning Systems.

R.E.S.P.E.C.T. program using their funding: Weed & Seed grant and the McAuley Ministry Fund.

The Susan Buffett Foundation for funding the "Every Single Child" fine arts opportunity

Weed and Seed for providing funds for our After School Program

Share Our Strength-The Great American Bake Sale for a new stove in our cafeteria.
