Clothing- The Humble Jumble shop offers customers a wide variety of gently used clothing, jewelry, appliances, toys, books, and more. Our school families both contribute their gently used items, and shop for necessities at our store. For hours of operation and more information click here. Community- As our Pastor, Father Baumert looked out on the congregation during the feast of Pentecost, he noted that we live the feast of Pentecost daily at Holy Name Grade School and Parish. We welcome those who have descended from families who founded our parish in 1918, and those recent immigrants from Somalia, Sudan, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Mexico, Guatemala, Togo, Panama, and many other parts of the world. Though we speak in many languages, we are truly one in the Lord. |

Shelter- Holy Name Housing Corporation is a non-profit community development corporation established in 1982 by members of Holy Name Parish. The mission of the organization is to revitalize depressed neighborhoods in Omaha, Nebraska, primarily the neighborhood in which Holy Name is located. Many of our school families have benefitted from the services provided by Holy Name Housing. In it's revitalization activities, the corporation builds or rehabilitates houses in order to provide home-ownership possibilities to low and moderate income households. To assist families to qualify for home ownership, the organization provides pre and post-purchase housing counseling. Holy Name Housing Corporation also acts as an advocate for establishing neighborhoods and promotes resident participation in designing renewal strategies. |

Food- An integral part of the work of Holy Name Parish and School is providing services to those in need. Our Men’s Group, through our annual Fish Fries during Lent and ongoing projects throughout the year, provide tuition assistance to families who desire, but may not otherwise be able to afford Catholic education for their children. Jesus calls us to feed his sheep. At Holy Name Catholic Grade School, more than half of our students qualify for free and reduced lunch through the Federal School Lunch Program. We also feed more than 250 children under the age of 18 both free breakfast and lunch throughout the summer months. |
