School Year 2008-2009 is under way. Sixth graders will
be very busy with a lot of different activities and schoolwork. We will be
studying:
 | Religion- we will be studying the Bible and it’s
different books. We will also cover our part in God’s great creation. |
| Science- we will cover everything from cells to
weather. We will be in the science lab for many interesting experiments. |
| Math- practice and more practice of the basics:
adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing. Plus we will learn about
angles, measurements etc. |
| Language Arts- we have new books this year that will
really focus on reading and writing. We will still read the usual 6th
grade novels. |
| Social Studies - We will be studying different
countries and participating in the Social Studies Fair. |
Of course we will not only be studying!! There are
several field trips planned for the year, plus many other activities. We
must remember the most important reason for being in school. Students must
remember that missing work is not acceptable. Students should be in school
every day so that they will not miss any important information. By working
together, we should have a very successful year.
