I made my first Echo-Link QSO today. connected, with my computer useing headset and mic, to repeater in Ponca City, Oklahoma and called by friend Darrell KJ5LY in a town about 20 miles away. He has a scanner in his shop. He went up to his radio room and used his two meter base station to call back to the repeater. we had a great 10 or 15 minute QSO. Audio was great, signal was full scale (like 599) and we signed off. Very cool.
Anyone wants to know more about it just yell and we can talk. :)
I don't think that counts as Oklahoma fro my WAS list...
