I've been to NMC on official business several times both the old
station on Sweeney Ridge south of San Francisco and the "new"
station at Pt. Reyes (must be almost 30 years since they moved).
I was always impressed by the station. In fact, I keep two watch
receivers up 24/7 to receive marine safety bulletins from them: 518
kHz and 8416.5 MHz SITOR (same as AMTOR).

I'm sure that they will do a good job of keeping the W2AIR station
alive. Thanks for the info.
