As the 16th is the third Monday of the month, we will be having the
usual quarterly business meeting on Monday, June 21st, 2002 at Wendy's
on Galvin Road in Bellevue at 7:30 PM. Talk-in will be on 145.115-.
The two major items on the agenda will be:
- A report on the results of a meeting with Strategic Air and Space
Museum officials on September 9th to organize an amateur radio demo,
weather balloon launch, and APRS conference at the Museum. This is a
joint project with the Aksarben and Lincoln Amateur Radio Clubs, as
well as volunteers with the NSTAR project. A tentative date for this
event will be late Fall 2002 or early Spring 2003.
- Further planning for the proposed special event station commemorating
the birthday of General Curtis E. LeMay (also held to coincide with
Veteran's Day weekend).
This announcement is one week prior to the scheduled meeting time, based
on members' suggestion that meetings be announced earlier in advance
than in the past. The change of meeting day from Friday to Monday was
announced at least 30 days prior to the meeting by President Darwin
Piatt, as required by the By-Laws. This latest change should be the
last for a while, barring any schedule conflicts for the 2003 club
officers.
Hope to see everyone there.
